My Parenting Fails

Im a perfectionist when it comes to certain areas of my life. So having to parent a child who has to have everything her way, has forced me to give up my controlling ways. However, its still hard to accept that no matter what i try, im unable to convince her to do certain things that i feel are pretty important. Everytime these things happen, they are a constant reminder of my parenting fails. Most people probably dont know about these or realise how much they impact my sense of worth as a parent everyday.

1-she refuses to eat anything but pasta, bread, strawberries, bananas, junk food, ham, mandarin.
2-she rarely drinks water
3-she refuses to walk half the time
4-she doesnt like other kids much
5-she refuses to have her hair brushed
6-she refuses to let her dad do anything much with or for her
7-she refuses to have her her hair washed
8-she will rarely sit at the table for tea with us

She is definetely an indigo or golden child and they are always hard work. I adore my little gift but im praying this time for a crystal or rainbow baby. If as an adult like me, you resonate with alot of these then you are probably a Lightworker.

  • They are born feeling and knowing they are special and should be revered.
  • These children are more confident and have a higher sense of self-worth.
  • Absolute authority, the kind with no choices doesnt sit well with them.
  • They are insightful and often have a better idea of methods
  • Adults often view an indigo as anti-social
  • The old control methods have no affect on these children.
  • The fulfillment of their personal needs is important to them, and they will let you know.
  • Strong willed
  • Headstrong
  • Creative, with an artistic flair
  • Prone to addictions
  • An isolationist, either through aggressive acting-out, or through fragile introversion
  • Bores easily
  • Prone to insomnia, restless sleep, nightmares, or difficulty/fear of falling asleep
  • Looks for real, deep, and lasting friendships
  • Easily bonds with plants or animals.
  • Intelligent, quick learners, technologically orientated, amazing memories.
  • Hyperactive, impatient, in-considerate and disrespectfulness.

  • Often don't speak till they are three or four years old.
  • Music delights them, and they can sing or hum in perfect harmony
  • Large eyes that can see into the depths of your soul.
  • Easy going.
  • Even more sensitive to environmental pollutants than indigos.
  • Self-professed vegetarians.
  • Often crystals won't play with other children in the neighborhood
  • Affinity for nature in all forms.
  • Want to be outside and get cranky when inside too long.
  • Very few material needs.
  • Fascinated by crystals
  • Powerful, forgiving, loving children...old souls in a young body.
  • Very creative, resourceful.
  • High energies, yet they remain calm and peaceful.
  • Happy, calm, peaceful, caring, affectionate, compassion, delightful and forgiving.
  • Very sensitive and empathetic.
  • Withdraw and isolate themselves from the world.

  • Confident without aggressiveness
  • Go without food and sleep for the most part
  • Not be negatively affected by harsh energies
  • Do not choose dysfunctional families
  • They are all about service
  • Operate purely out of joy, not need or impulse
  • May have big eyes like the Crystal Children
  • Unlike the Crystal Children they are totally trusting
  • Entirely fearless of everybody and practically everything
  • Drawn to natural foods, often can be vegan or vegetarian
  • Love nature, plants, & animals

Golden Children (Also referred to as ‘Gifted’ Children)
• Super-sensitivity to surroundings
• Strong curiosity and powers of observation
• An extensive vocabulary
• An exceptional memory
• May talk early and fluently
• The ability to read early – often self-taught

• Has a wide range of interests
• Is resourceful – solving problems by ingenious methods
• Is creative in new ideas, seeing associations, pursuing innovations
• Is perceptually open to his or her environment
• Shows superior judgement in evaluating things
• Learns rapidly, easily and efficiently

• Is independent
• Is friendly and outgoing
• Doesn’t mind being different
• Demonstrates ability to dramatise feelings and experiences

In order to heal, we must express denied emotions fully, preferably in private...feel them...accept them as ours. Then release them through the power of forgiveness.

These children help us grow by triggering and reflecting on to us, issues which need to surface for releasing and healing. Other times, through them, we are being reminded that we are all divine… the simple truth which many of us chose to forget.

Comment below with your parenting fails or if you feel you or your kids fit into one of these special categories.

  1. Maybe you could make these activities "hers" Give her a place to set at the table that is hers responsibility. When you go shopping you could give her 1 new thing to try (maybe she could chooses between a few pieces of fruit etc) You could try making pasta from veges (with a vege spiral) or mix some in with her regular pasta, give her a little bottle to wash her own hair. I'm wouldn't really know but maybe giving her things to make her feel important will help her want to do these things :)
Really interesting about the rainbow, golden etc children.

  2. Thanks. Some good ideas to try. Glad you liked it. Xo
