Gurus, Teachers, Mentors

Watering the Garden
Some people follow a certain teacher like Jesus, their yoga teacher or even a celebrity. However i prefer to gather inspiration from all around me. I read LOTS of books, read many different blogs and take in the bits of information that appeal to me. I also have teachers in the form of my family, who constantly test me to overcome things like my impatience etc. Then of course theres my favourite teacher of all, nature. Brooklyn learns from books, kindy and me mostly. Everyone and everything has something to teach us if we are paying attention. In the end though, all the wisdom you need is already inside you. All those sources outside of you are simply there to remind you of the things your higher self already knows. Thats why its important to only take in the parts that resonate with you. No one else is any wiser than you really, or has all the answers to your unique journey. We are all here to remember that we all come from the same spark that created the entire universe. We are all 'god', here to experience 'himself' in many different forms. We are here to learn, experience life, serve, embody love and grow.

Comment below about your teachers in life.

  1. This is a really good concept - to be aware of all that is around us and what we can learn from it, whatever it is. I find it easy to get caught up in the daily rush and frustrations of everything around me but reframing it and being grateful for the lesson is a really important thing. :)

  2. I find it can be hard to think of what that lesson is when youre in the middle of it all too. Thanks so much for commenting. :)
